Well-appointed private villa for rent in a very spacious and quiet gated complex in Kizilot/Kizilagac, 15 minutes east of Ancient Side on the Turkish Riviera.

The Villa: on three floors – ground, first and penthouse (penthouse has sea view):
Four double bedrooms (all with air conditioning) and two sofa beds in the lounge (air-conditioned), allow the villa to accommodate a family/group of up to 10 people in comfort. Additionally, the penthouse has a Samsonite Pop-up Bubble travel cot with integral mosquito net. There are three bathrooms (two en-suite), and a further wc with wash basin; large lounge; extensive balconies/terraces with built-in barbecue; fully-equipped kitchen (cooker with oven, larder fridge with freezing compartment, dishwasher, coffee machine, iron, ironing board); large cool box for picnics; washing machine in the ground floor bathroom, private courtyard with jasmine, palm, orange, lemon and mandarin trees, and sun-loungers. The Site Facilities: Three pools (one children’s) all with sun awnings and sun loungers (no charge), private beach, outside restaurant (pide/kebab/meat/fish/salad, etc), children’s play area; small shop, indoor clubhouse. The children's play area and the larger pool are 100 yards from the villa. Beautiful surroundings, gardens, fruit trees, maintained pathways suitable for buggies, wheelchairs, etc. The neighbouring village of Kizilagac has a water park, and 14 km east in Alara (7 minutes by car) is a larger water park. The beach for the exclusive use of the site is accessed either by the site boat (no charge and 7 mins from embarkation to the beach) which runs along the river that borders the site, or by a short walk through a field.

The Place: Kizilot/Kizilagac. The villa lies between Kizilot (to the east) which is a quiet rural village, and Kizilagac (to the west) which is a small developing tourism resort, with several hotel complexes, a designer shopping mall (complete with ice rink!), and two traditional covered bazaars offering both tourist and domestic shopping. It takes 5 minutes to walk to either Kizilot or Kizilagac and about 2 minutes by car. We are 35 minutes away from the magnificent Aspendos Amphitheatre, the largest and best preserved amphitheatre in Europe (see www.tourismturkey.org), which regularly hosts national and international opera, ballet and classical music festivals. It’s 35 minutes west from the beautiful resort of Alanya, 15 minutes away from the Manavgat Waterfall and rafting, and it’s just 7 minutes from its own completely private and protected beach where the loggerhead turtles nest (Google: loggerhead turtles + Kizilot or caretta caretta turtles + Kizilot).

Local Sunday market (2 minutes by car, 5 minutes on foot) for all fresh fruit and vegetables, and large supermarkets at Manavgat, and Side (Carrefour, Migros), for all other provisions. Fly to Antalya (try flythomascook.com) – reliable and comfortable airport transfers available at £30 each way in people carrier/mini bus (maximum 6 passengers, ie. £5 per person). Car hire is not necessary as buses are regular and cheap, but it is recommended for families with children or those with infirmities.

Our agent in Side will arrange car hire through Europcar at competitive rates. Alternatively, if you wish to collect a car at the airport, this is possible through our car hire agent in Antalya. Longer stays enable visits to Pamukkale (ancient Hierapolis) and Ephesus (one of the Seven Wonders of the World). Cleaning and babysitting facilities can be arranged if required.
