Well-appointed private villa for rent in a very spacious and quiet gated complex in Kizilot, 15 minutes east of Ancient Side on the Turkish Riviera.
The lounge is on the first floor and provides a large air-conditioned family space, for dining or general relaxation indoors. The two sofas convert into beds for additional guests. To the right of the dining suite is a balcony furnished with high grade plastic chairs and a small table. The lounge has a TV and DVD player, and a bookcase containing books, games, and an extremely useful English-Turkish/Turkish-English dictionary.
Linking the lounge and the kitchen is a foyer area with toilet and washbasin, and an entrance onto the side balcony. Traditional Turkish tiling adds to the appearance and authenticity of the villa.
The kitchen is a galley design and is fully-equipped with oven, larder fridge with freezing compartment, dishwasher, coffee machine, hand juicer, iron, ironing board, drinking water fountain. Additionally, there is a large cool box for picnics and a separate set of picnic crockery. Work surfaces are marble.
The kitchen leads on to the first floor terrace which wraps around the villa, and is the place to eat from Spring to Autumn throughout the day. Even in the winter, breakfast and lunch are pleasantly taken here. There are two (different sized) tables which fit together if necessary to cater for the larger family, and an in-built barbecue, which is perfect for outdoor cooking. Grapevines and bougainvillea drape the terrace, and the views are delightful.
The conservatory lounge is on the ground floor and is furnished with four bamboo armchairs and a matching glass-topped occasional table. Traditional Turkish tiling is another feature. Leading off from the conservatory lounge is the private courtyard, which has fruit trees, and where there are two high grade plastic sun-loungers (with cushions), patio table and a selection of chairs, including a child’s chair.
This is the largest of the three ground floor bedrooms, and has an en-suite wet-room arrangement containing shower, wc, and washbasin. The bedroom has two windows, one looking out onto the front of the villa, and the other looking into the courtyard.
The room contains a double bed, a wardrobe, a four-drawer chest, two two-drawer bedside chests, two under-bed strorage boxes on castors, and a change of linen.
This is the middle-sized bedroom on the ground floor. This room is next to the ground floor bathroom, and has a small terrace which looks out onto a quiet lawned area. The terrace is large enough for breakfast or simply to relax on. There is a double bed, wardrobe, four-drawer chest, two two-drawer bedside chests, and two under-bed storage boxes on castors with a complete change of linen.
This is the smallest ground floor bedroom. It is opposite the ground floor bathroom. The room has a window that looks into the courtyard, a double bed, a wardrobe, a four-drawer chest, two two-drawer bedside chests, and two under-bed storage boxes on castors that contain a complete change of linen.
The penthouse floor contains a large bedroom and small private lounge. The bedroom has a window that overlooks the courtyard, a king size bed, a wardrobe, a four-drawer chest, two two-drawer bedside chests, two under-bed storage boxes on castors that contain a complete change of linen, a Samsonite travel cot, and an en-suite containing shower, wash basin and wc.
The penthouse lounge is on the second floor and offers a private relaxation area directly outside the penthouse bedroom. It has a cushioned sofa, two cushioned chairs, an occasional table, a bamboo armchair, and a wicker bookcase, and is located at the top of the spiral travertine staircase.
